Laboratories

To support its demand for quality and scientific rigour, ABEE relies on the expertise of LABÉO, a hub for analyses and research based in Normandy. Recognised for its know-how in animal health, food, water and environment, LABÉO brings together around 400 collaborators across 6 sites and carries out nearly 1.2 million analyses per year.

LABÉO has a quality system compliant with the NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard and several COFRAC accreditations, guarantees of technical competence, analytical reliability and mastery of the methods deployed. The laboratory also highlights a strong research, development and innovation activity, notably with an axis dedicated to equine health.

As part of its development, ABEE thus follows an approach grounded in rigour, evaluation and evidence-seeking, with the will to offer premium equine care supported by a serious scientific approach.

To support its demand for quality and manufacturing, ABEE collaborates with Lessonia, a French company specialising in the design and contract manufacturing of cosmetic ingredients and products. Founded in 2002 and based in Saint-Thonan in Brittany, Lessonia is recognised for its know-how in formulation, manufacturing and product development, with a resolutely Made-in-France approach.

Lessonia develops both cosmetic ingredients and finished products, with historic expertise around raw materials of natural — particularly marine — origin. The company also highlights its ability to support brands with developments compliant with prevailing standards, in a logic of quality, naturalness and regulatory rigour.

As part of its development, ABEE collaborates with Lessonia to surround itself with a French player able to combine industrial mastery, manufacturing quality and technical support. This collaboration fits into ABEE's ambition to build a premium, coherent, demanding and fully French-thought equine care offering.

The Laboratory Test Protocol

The laboratory cultured horn samples on three separate Petri dishes to evaluate the action of our product. The photos below were taken at the end of the culture period (3 weeks).

- Left Petri dish: Horn ALONE (Control)

- Centre Petri dish: Horn + application of a neutral base

- Right Petri dish: Horn + application of Hoof Defender

Our Conclusion

The results are unequivocal: our formulaABEE Hoof Defender (right Petri dish) prevented the proliferation of the germs that destroy the frog.

This is the scientific proof that ABEE Hoof Defender acts powerfully and durably against the identified pathogens, allowing the frog to regenerate in a perfectly healthy environment.
