Our stance on essential oils

At ABEE, we made a clear choice: rigour ahead of trends.
We chose not to include essential oils in our formulas — not out of principle, but out of scientific rigour and responsibility. To this day, the recurring conclusions of the literature still highlight too many uncertainties: lack of standardised dosages, caution regarding certain toxicity risks — particularly hepatic and neurological — and insufficient solid clinical validation, especially in animals.
In this context, promising their safety or efficacy would be hazardous. That is not our vision of care. We prefer to guarantee the safety and efficacy of our products by relying on well-established data, rather than on appealing but still insufficiently regulated active ingredients.
This choice is not a definitive condemnation of essential oils; it is an ethical decision, based on the current state of knowledge. As long as robust proof of safety, dosage control and long-term efficacy is not clearly established, we choose not to use them.
At ABEE, trust is not declared: it is built through evidence, caution and rigour.
